World Psoriasis Day is presented by the International
Federation of Psoriasis Association as an annual day dedicated to people with
psoriasis and/or psoriatic arthritis. For more than a decade, it has been
celebrated on October 29. On this day, members of a particular association and
their supporters organize activities around the world to raise awareness of
psoriasis. The condition can be easily noticed as symptoms are clearly visible.
One of the most common symptoms includes Bacterial Infection.
The condition Psoriasis is a severe, chronic, disabling, and
disfiguring, non-communicable disease. It is not curable. Approximately 125
million people around the world are living with psoriasis. The symptoms are
visible on the skin. These symptoms can be inflamed, irritated, itchy or
scaled. Though it looks like psoriasis is contagious or the result of bad
hygiene, but the reality is different. It might look like a Bacterial Infection.

World Psoriasis Day is an outcome of the focus to celebrate the
strength of people with psoriasis and to better inform communities and the
needs of people with psoriasis. The aim of this day is dedicated to people
living with psoriasis or psoriatic arthritis. To address their needs, raise
awareness, spread information about the condition, improve access to treatment,
and encourage people with Psoriasis for happy living is needed.
The condition affects people not just physically, but also socially,
mentally, emotionally, and financially. Its a need to raise a profile of this
disease and spread awareness. Spreading the right information about psoriasis,
dispel common myths and answer the questions is a must. Most of the people are confused
between Bacterial Infection on the skin with Psoriasis. People suffering
from the condition need to be empowered to speak about it.
The condition is not curable but proper
treatment is necessary. People need to be provided with appropriate and
affordable treatment. Healthcare providers, policymakers, and the government
